Columbarium Niches
The Union Cemetery columbarium was constructed in 2025. A columbarium is a structure with niches built for storing urns containing ashes after cremation.
Niche Sizes & Requirements
8 inch niche
Dimensions: 7 5/8" wide x 7 5/8" tall x 11 13/16" deep
Requires the purchase of an urn from Union Cemetery in order for 2 urns to fit in one niche.
12 inch niche
Dimensions: 11 5/8" wide x 11 13/16" tall x 11 13/16" deep
Has the capacity to hold up to 4 standard urns. Urns need approval if not purchased from Union
Cemetery.
Inscriptions & Flowers
The front of each niche will be inscribed with full name (up to 22 spaces), date of birth, and date of death. This requires at least 2 weeks lead time.
All inscriptions will be of uniform font, size, and in three (3) lines.
Flowers may be placed at the base of the columbarium on the day of the inurnment. Currently, there is not a place for flowers to be displayed long-term.

Columbarium
- 8 inch niche space $1600.00
- 12 inch niche space $2200.00
- Standard Urn (plus tax) $200.00
- Engraving (per person, plus tax) $300.00
- Open/close fee (addl. urn) $350.00
Twenty percent of the niche purchase price will be deposited in a state mandated perpetual care fund to ensure future care and maintenance of the columbarium.
